Poko Loko Project
Application: Illustrator
Project Brief:
For the project my client was Jennifer Corso, the director of Poko Loko, a childcare, in Wheeling. Poko Loko is a family-owned business and has been around since 1965. Poko Loko is known for their clown logo. The project deliverables included a stylescape to pick a direction, a logo refresh, introducing new icons for each program, branded stationery including a business card, two letterheads, an envelope, and ID badge, two t-shirt designs (one for the teachers and one for the kids), an open house flyer, and a brand standard.
The target audience would be the parents, and the purpose of the deliverables was to give Poko Loko a new refreshed look by adding some new elements, and to make Poko Loko even more fun and friendly. Poko Loko’s new mission is about helping children build their futures and dreams.
Senior Capstone
The group show was called From Vision to Reality. The Poko Loko Capstone Exhibit was set up to resemble a mini child care-like center. The display included the deliverables I created which were mainly displayed on the two front walls. To give a child care-like feel the center included a shelf, toys, and clown crafts that kids made. In addition I had created some educational posters and Poko Loko themed posters. For an interactive experience I created four activity sheets for guests to take and do. I created a sign explaining directions for interaction. The activity sheets were placed on the kids table and the rug was included to add to the child care setting.
